Age Range
We teach nearly all ages. The only requisite is the student needs to be able to read well and wishes to experience the joy of making music.
Appointments
Both afternoon and evening appointments are available. We can accommodate those who need lesson times after school or work, so don’t hesitate to ask!
Teaching Locations
Our teachers use Lee’s Summit area churches for lessons and recitals. This allows us to establish a convenient, location-neutral site that is safe for our students as well as our teachers. Parents are always welcome to wait for your student.
Parent and Child / Group Lessons
Joint lessons programs may be available for beginning guitar. Learning curves may be very different for each individual, so the eventual need to move toward separate lessons should be anticipated.
Performances
Students are encouraged to share their musical gifts often as it helps build their confidence. Recitals are offered periodically throughout the year.
Guitar Rental
Student guitars are available to our active students on a temporary or rent-to-own basis.
Miscellaneous
Instruments, accessories, and printed music are available to our active students by special order. Teacher recommended materials are kept in-stock. We prefer students acquire supplies through the Heartland Music Academy teachers to ensure the preferred equipment is used.
