My daughter has been taking voice and piano lessons at Heartland Music for two years.  Her instructors are knowledgeable professionals who care about their students not only as musicians, but as individuals.  They take the time to teach proper techniques that will help build musical skills for a lifetime.  In addition, they create a relaxed, encouraging environment that makes the lessons a positive experience every week.–Lisa  Frogge

I've had a great experience as a student at Heartland.  I've taken classes from several teachers here, and each one has greatly helped me improve my acting, singing and instrumental skills.  I enjoy being with Heartland Music, and I would not be nearly as experienced in the arts without it.–Caleb Ellis

My daughter and I both have taken guitar lessons from Shannon for two years now and it has been such a wonderful experience!  Shannon is a very talented musician and genuinely enjoys teaching.  Along with her expertise, patience and sense of humor we have made great progress and had so much fun along the way. We look forward to every lesson!  –Lisa and Hallie Klanke

About four years ago, when my daughter decided to transition from piano to violin, I decided to take her lesson time with Sophia Payne and re-learn the piano.  Sophia has a delightful personality and is adept at teaching piano to a wide range of student skill levels and ages.  I don’t ever want to stop taking lessons from Sophia and Heartland Music Academy.–Carrie Hultman

As a five-year violin student of Maria Maxwell, I have enjoyed every moment with her and have learned so many techniques and skills.  She makes everything very easy to grasp, and keeps the mood happy and fun.  I look forward to my lesson each week knowing I am going to learn something new and have fun at the same time.  Mrs. Maxwell has high expectations, but helps me to be the best violinist I can be.–Sam Nelson

I have been lucky enough to study with Mrs. Maxwell for the last seven years.  One thing I love about her is that she is the perfect blend of kick you in your pants and love you to death!  She inspires her students to work hard and she genuinely cares about each of us.  She is a gifted musician and teacher and honestly there is no other like her.  I am a sophomore in high school, and with Mrs. Maxwell's help, I have been named to the Kansas City All-District Orchestra both my freshman and sophomore years, earned several "1" ratings at contests, and most importantly have grown in my passion for playing the violin.–Sidney Drew
